Game World & Storytelling:

Vanquisher of Demons is a 2D Platformer that is about a knight (a.k.a the player) that is asked to save the Princess that was kidnapped by the Demon King. You will then have to go on a life-threatening quest to defeat the Demon King's minions and the Demon King himself. Along the way you'll meet the people of the kingdom and hear their story's and experiences. 

Game Play Goal:

The goal of this game is adventure. I added game elements such as being able to interact with NPCs and gave the players a quest to follow. Along the way I left hints for them to gather to better prepare them for traps.  There are multiple different enemies with different abilities to keep the player on their toes. To guide the player in the correct direction I used coins to reward them for going the correct route. I also encouraged the high risk high reward method by putting treasure chests in dangerous areas. (FYI: If you have full health/life then you won't be able to pick up items)

Workload: 

I collected the assets for this game from the Unity Asset Store, Itch.io assets, OpenGameArt.org, and I reused the buttons UI/sound effects and score UI from the previous games we did in class. I used music/sound effects from pixabay.com & mixkit.co. The images for the NPC's and Main Menu I found on google. I used code from previous projects and altered some of it like using the key to open the door code and applied it to to let the player open chests with keys. 

If I had more time, I would have liked to add more levels, add animations to sprites like keys and pick-ups, configure the player to attack with attack animations, and have all the enemies use attack animations.
